The story of the 'Alamo' wristwatch.
Created by our designer Mark the Alamo watch was named after the famous Battle of the Alamo in 1836. During this battle, the Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna layed siege on roughly 200 Texan soldiers, amongst them Davy Crockett.
Though all Texan soldiers were killed at the battle - they showed tremendous courage throughout the siege. This watch is a tribute to their courage.
The details of the watch.
The casing, made from stainless steel and covered in a gold IPG coating has a diameter of 38 mm. The face diameter is 33 mm and the bezel width is approximately 2.5 mm. The movement is manual, with a lifespan of roughly 20 hours after setting it. It is an analog display which adds finesse to it's authentic look.
Thus, every morning you will get in touch with this magnificant watch once more, to set the correct time - just like the soldiers in the Alama did. The material of the dial window is crystal mineral glass. This crystal provides you with rugged durability with protection from scratch and impact. In short, you can be assured that this watch is an extremely durable watch.
The details of the leather cuff.
The leather cuff, made from Italian soft cow-hide was handcrafted by our designer Mark who lived in Milan and Naples to ensure he learned everything there was to know about working with leather. The band width is 44 mm and has a double push button deployment clasp.
Aesthetics of the watch.
The goldcoated casing, along with the goldcoated clockwork of the watch, combined with the caramel leather cuff make this men's wristwatch a must have. The simplificty of the design, the craftsmanship of the cuff, and the skeleton dial, all result in a watch that looks as if it was worn by the soldiers in at the Battle of the Alamo.
The caramel leather cuff has 8 rusty gold coated nails which serve both a functional and an aesthetic goal. The push down button deployment clasps has a rusty gold coated finish - giving the watch a more rugged finish. The leather cuff was handcrafted and handstitched with fallow brown stitching.
The casing attached to this genuine leather cuff pops out as a result of it's size and use of color. The analog skeleton presents black roman numericals with skeleton bridges. The workings of the mechanisms can be seen while you are manually setting the time and while you are wearing it. The dauphine styled hands perfect the watch and balances the rugged overall look of this wristwatch.
